Our History

Calzificio Toninelli (Toninelli Hosiery) was born in 1964, founded by Fulvio Toninelli.
The company’s women’s hosiery production business grew continuously, and in 1985 the hosiery factory passed from a sole proprietorship to a partnership, giving shape to the collaboration with his wife Natalina Vignoni.

In 1992 the children, Francesco and Valeria, who had already been working in the business for some time, formally entered the company, receiving shares in donation from their parents.
The hosiery takes shape starting from a family business that, over the years, has given the company a strong historicity based on organizational and production foundations.

Currently, the company’s workforce consists of about 55 employees, a number that allows it to sustain the work cycles in the different periods of the year but that, at the same time, keeps the business leaner and lighter than in the past.
